Bachelors of Dentistry (BDS)
Bachelor of Dentistry is generally known as BDS that is the preferred choice of many aspirants besides MBBS. It is a 4-years degree program that imparts detailed knowledge about dental anatomy, diseases, and surgery. The degree holders study the basic principles of medical, diagnostic, and surgical techniques in dentistry. During the four years, students get extensive knowledge and practical training to get the status of a dentist. After 4 years of course work, the BDS degree holders have to do one year of house work to become eligible for the degree of BDS and get registered with Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC). The prerequisite of admission in BDS is FSc (pre-medical) or equivalent education (related subjects) with a minimum of 60% marks. The students have to pass the MCAT/ Entry test with the required marks to make a place on the merit list.
