The Pakistan Navy (PN) has initiated several socioeconomic projects in the coastal areas of Balochistan with the objective of empowering the youth through education and bridging the gap between them and the rest of Pakistan. One such effort is the creation of PN Cadet College Ormara (PNCCO).

The foundation for PN Cadet College Ormara was laid on June 12, 2012, by former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr Yousaf Raza Gillani. The institution began its academic session in April 2013 with the enrollment of a batch of sixty cadets. It was anticipated that over time, this institution would become known as a high-quality educational establishment for future generations.

On August 3, 2017, the college campus was officially inaugurated at its current location, and academic activities commenced on August 7, 2017. The fundamental reason for establishing this institution in the city of Ormara was to spread the light of education in this remote region of Balochistan, provide equal opportunities to young people, and equip them to compete not only within the country but also globally.
