Lawrence College Ghora Gali, Muree is a school located in Muree, Punjab. The college is situated at the base of the Himalayas and Pir Panjal at an altitude of around 1950 meters above sea level, occupying an area of 150 acres. It is 4km away from Muree and 57 km away from Islamabad. Sir Henry Lawrence was the impetus behind the Lawrence schools of South Asia. He was born in 1986 in Ceylon, Sri Lanka, and educated at Foyle College Derry then Addiscombe Military Seminary. He joined the East India Company, in the Bengal Artillery rising to the rank of Brigadier General.
The school includes a junior, preparatory, and a senior school. The Junior school is on a pine-covered hilltop in the upper estate of the college, where the school was founded in the early days of its inception in 1860. It is officially led by a Headmistress and caters to young entrants between the ages of 5 1/2 to 9 1/2 from grades one to four. A team of qualified and experienced teachers and staff are available to supervise the boys and promote learning.
The preparatory school is situated in the college’s middle estate, surrounded by the stunning and peaceful environment in the form of historic architecture building and evergreen pine trees. The preparatory school deals with students from class V to VIII aged 9 1/2 to 12 1/2 who are currently led by a Headmaster and a staff of 10 masters and 2 Matrons.
The senior school includes classes from VIII to XII, with O levels from Cambridge University. On the basis of affiliation and a sense of competition, the house system is more powerful. Each house is managed under the leadership of the housemaster, assistant housemasters, and house tutors providing the instructions and guidance for the boys of respective houses.
Admissions are given to the eligible students Junior School Class I, Preparatory School Class V, Senior School Class VIII, and Intermediate Year I. If vacancies occur in other classes, they are advertised and filled. Applications for admission to Lawrence College follow a definite procedure. Tests are held in Pakistan at Lawrence College, Murree, and Lahore.

Sports at LCGG include cricket, hockey, basketball, football, and tracks. These sports are an important part of the Inter-House tournaments leading to the prestigious Quaid e Azam Cock House Shield. Annual competitions with Aitchison College, Army Burn Hall School, Cadet College Hasan Abdal, and Abbottabad Public School are also fixed. Indoor sports include gymnastics, squash, badminton, archery, table tennis, horse riding and karate. These are played throughout the year.
Extracurriculars include Defense Day, Kashmir Solidarity Day, Independence Day, drama, entertainment, and art. Societies include art society, drama society, computer and science society, and astrology society.
