Edwardes College, Peshawar is the oldest higher education institution in the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province. In 1900 the Church Mission Society (CMS) with the assistance of Sir Herbert Edwardes established the college. Sir Herbert Edwardes was the British commissioner of Peshawar. The institution was named Edwardes in recognition of the commissioner’s contribution. The college is affiliated with the University of Peshawar. Edwardes college offers sciences, arts and humanities, business administration, higher national diploma, and computer sciences. The college provides a lot of facilities to students like Laboratories, Library, Playgrounds, Medical Care, and Computer Labs.

The Edwardes College Peshawar offers admission purely on merit basis. The applicant has to submit the registration form. After the registration, the candidate has to appear and pass the admission test. The college conducts an interview of candidate held along with parents/guardian. In the interview applicant must be prepared to conversation with admission committee members in English. The list of selected candidates is displayed. Parents will be notified whether their child has been accepted or denied admission to the school.

SELECTION CRITERIA FOR INTERMEDIATE PROGRAM
The selection criteria for the intermediate program for Science and Arts students are as follow:
At least 60% marks in Metric.
Applicant should clear the admission interview.
Candidate should be medically fit.
SELECTION CRITERIA FOR A LEVEL
The selection criteria for A-level students are as follow:
O level students who have successfully completed their GCE/IGCSE course are eligible for admission.
Metric students who qualify the merit for admission in F.A/F.Sc may be considered for A Level admission according to A Level admission policy.
Applicant should clear the admission interview.
SELECTION CRITERIA FOR DEGREE PROGRAM (BA & BSc)
Applicant should have passes H.S.S.C. (FA and FSc) in the first attempt.
Students who have obtained A, B and C grade in H.S.S.C. (FA and FSc) will be admitted to 3rd-year courses.
D grade students are not admissible at Edwardes College.
For BSc Mathematics applicant must have passed FSc with at least 60% marks in mathematics.
SELECTION CRITERIA FOR BS COMPUTER SCIENCE
Applicant has passed the Intermediate examination in science group with Mathematics and Physics / Computer Science.
The candidate has obtained at least 60 % marks in the relevant examination.
The student has original transcripts and Certificates of HSSC and SSC examinations or equivalents unless waiting for results to be announced.
SELECTION CRITERIA FOR BTEC (HND), MBA PROGRAM
The candidate has obtained at least 50 % marks in the relevant examination.
